Our Volunteers

Let's Talk Science McMaster volunteers participate in multiple activities that reach out to Hamilton, Halton, Brantfort and their neighboring communities. Over the last few years, Let's Talk Science McMaster volunteers have reached out to over 6000 youth on average annually through virtual and in person outreach activities.

Let's Talk Science volunteers at McMaster are made up of undergraduate students (83%), graduate students (15%), and professionals (2%) who come from different STEM backgrounds:

  • 67%  from the Faculty of Science
  • 27%  from the Faculty of Health Sciences
  • 4%  from the Faculty of Engineering
  • 2% from the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences

Our volunteers deliver activities to classrooms and communities from our kit library on various STEM topics designed for children from Kindergarden to Grade 12.

Join Us at Let’s Talk Science

Our Outreach program volunteers pass on their passion for STEM to youth in Canada. They shatter negative stereotypes and inspire children and youth to become engaged in STEM learning. Through Let’s Talk Science Outreach, we support educators and help youth form positive attitudes towards the role that STEM plays in their lives and futures.
